Annual CVHBA Trap Shoot for Building a Better Wisconsin PAC 9/7/2023 12:00 Noon - 9/7/2023 8:00 PM

Join us for the 1st Annual Trap Shoot - Presented by: Chippewa Valley Insulation & Pawlak Construction to benefit the Building a Better WI Political Action Committee (PAC). We are planning a fun day full of shooting trap, playing games, food, drinks and networking. This trap shoot is limited to 100 people to make sure everyone has time to shoot. You can either register a full team (5 people) or an individual and we will pair you up with others. Teams will be assigned an approximate shooting time and arrival time. There will be raffles and yard games throughout the day during shooting, followed by dinner and prizes at the trap house about 5:30 p.m. No shooting experience is required – our committee members will help teach you!

Cost: $50 / person (or $250 for a team)
$20 Dinner only registration

1:00 p.m. - Shooting Begins & Teams Will be Assigned an approximate Shooting Time (Start time may be adjusted to a later start depending on the number of teams registered)
5:30 p.m. – Dinner & Prizes

Don’t want to shoot? Join us to enjoy a flip flop chicken dinner and networking for $20.

Trap Shoot includes: 1 round of shooting, yard games, flip flop chicken dinner and networking. Participants are responsible for bringing or purchasing shells.

This event benefits the Wisconsin Builders Association's Building a Better Wisconsin PAC (BBW PAC) that allows members from across the state to combine their resources and support pro-housing, pro-business candidates running for office in Wisconsin. PAC contribution decisions are made by reviewing the candidates' positions and voting records on housing and WBA priority issues. Decisions are bi-partisan.

Registration Process: Because this events benefits the Wisconsin Builders Association's Building a Better Wisconsin PAC the registration process will be a little different. Thanks to our sponsors (who have donated to the CVHBA & WBA who are covering the costs of the event on behalf of the BBW PAC). Your registration fees will be a donation directly to the PAC. There are some state laws about who can contribute to PAC, so please read carefully below.

All contributions must be from individual personal funds, a single member LLC, or LLC's taxed as partnerships. They cannot be reimbursed by a business or other individual:
-You must use a personal checking account or personal credit card. Or an account ties to an LLC as described above.
-Contributions from a corporation are prohibited and state campaign contributions are not tax deductible.

So how should you register?

Register yourself or your team through the CVHBA event page. This is how we will know who is participating.
The cost is $50 per person shooting. This will need to be paid directly to the Building a Better Wisconsin PAC.
After registration you will receive an email with instructions on how to pay for your spot:
-You can write a personal check made out to the Building a Better Wisconsin PAC and mail it or drop it off at our office (4319 Jeffers Road, Suite 103, Eau Claire, WI 54703) and we will forward them to the right place.
-You can make a donation online HERE. After you donate you will forward the email confirmation to Christina Prestin.
-You can bring in cash to the CVHBA office and we will forward it on to the right place. If you are bringing cash we will need the name, home address and occupation of each shooter. Each person on the team will be recognized as making the $50 donation.

By registering for this event I confirm that the following statements are true: 1.) I am a United States citizen. 2.) This contribution is made from my own personal funds and is not made from the general treasury funds of a corporation or labor organization. 3.) This contribution is made on a personal credit card and not a corporate credit card or the credit card of another person.

Dinner only registrations will be paid to the CVHBA and can be paid by the person or the company.

The Chippewa Valley Home Builders Association event cancellation policy requires a 5 business day notice for a full refund.

Everyone was emailed a parking pass. You need to print it out to keep on your dashboard. We are assigned parking lots P3 or P4. P7 is also available for $1.00 per hour if you prefer to park closer. The parking lots we are assigned are a hike across the overhead bridge so please allow time in your schedule to account for that.

Registration Deadline is Thursday, September 14.

Biography:

John McHugh is the Director of Corporate Communications, Leadership Development, and Training for Kwik Trip, Inc., based in La Crosse, Wisconsin. In his role at Kwik Trip he has helped the company achieve recognition as a Top Workplace as listed by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Minneapolis Star Tribune and the Des Moines Register.

Prior to joining Kwik Trip in 2004, John was an instructor and principal at Aquinas High School in La Crosse. He holds degrees from the University of Saint Thomas in Saint Paul, Minnesota and the Gregorian University in Rome, Italy. John sits on the Boards of Trust Point, Betterlife Insurance and Viterbo University.

He and his wife Maggie enjoy living at their log home near Sparta, Wisconsin.

Join the Chippewa Valley Home Builders Association for the 2023 United Way Day of Caring! This year, we will be working with The Chippewa Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America on a brush clearing landscape project.

Volunteers will need to bring work gloves. Please register if you would like to volunteer.
